in this tutorial, you will learn how to send and receive messages using the messaging console
The Messaging console allows you to send and receive messages from other members whom you are connected with. Please keep in mind if you want to communicate with another member through the messaging console, you must connect with them first.
Step One:

Click the “Messages” Link from the left navigation menu on your main dashboard.
Step Two:

Click the “Contacts” button to search your connection list.
Step Three:

Select a contact from the drop down menu, and compose your message. Click the Send button once complete.
Step FOUR:

Use the Message Console to view your messages and continue any previous conversations that have already been initiated.
Click the blue “View” icon to expand a conversation in the right conversation pane.
